Job Summary (List Format) Overseas Contractor (Tech Writer)


- Develop and maintain detailed API specifications for RESTful APIs in the payments domain.
- Create and manage associated artifacts, such as use cases and Postman collections for API testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to gather technical information and develop both technical and functional documentation for client integration.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Review and edit API documentation for accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Manage version control and updates for API documentation as APIs evolve.
- Advocate for high-quality, user-friendly documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
- Specify and recommend engineering tools for content management and rendering of documentation.
- Analyze documentation requirements from the client perspective, especially in the payment domain.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills and deep understanding of API technologies and protocols (OAuth, REST, JSON, XML, GraphQL, SOAP).
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Work independently with minimal guidance.
- Grasp complex technical concepts and convert them into clear, concise technical documentation.
- Utilize Figma and other illustration tools (preferred).
- Use content management tools, such as Crafter.
- Apply working knowledge of Agile development processes.
- Understand business architecture, business process design, and mapping.
